Google has introduced three new functions for its Meet video conferencing platform. These are designed to simplify the process and follow-up of online meetings.

The first new feature is the automatic recording of meetings. This function is activated by default, but can be deactivated in the settings. It is intended to prevent important conversations from being lost because the recording was forgotten to start.

Secondly, Meet now offers automatic transcription. This creates a written version of all conversations during a meeting. This option can also be switched off if required.

The third new function makes it possible to automatically create notes during the meeting. Google’s AI system Gemini is used for this. This option can be found in the video settings.

All three functions are already available. They may need to be activated by the administrator for use in organizational accounts.
