If you have your eye on the most innovative trends at IFA 2024, you should focus on the new MYVU/Imiki AR Glasses. Weighing just 43 grams, the glasses with artificial intelligence and a trendy look were developed as a clever extension to the smartphone. The MYVU/Imiki AR glasses guarantee readability of all high-contrast and transparent information at any time of day or night – even in direct sunlight thanks to 2,000 nits of brightness. At just 0.3 cubic centimetres, the glasses also boast the smallest and therefore most inconspicuous optical unit in the augmented reality sector. The flexible temples of the MYVU/Imiki AR glasses adapt perfectly to almost any head shape with over 18 degrees of adjustment without exerting pressure – for maximum comfort all day long. The temples contain specially developed superlinear speakers with a spatial sound field. Far-field noise canceling ensures the user’s privacy and ensures that the sound can only be heard by the wearer of the glasses and does not penetrate to the outside. Together with the AI-supported dual microphone setup, ambient noise is efficiently captured and filtered during phone calls to improve call quality.

Further features

  • The volume can be controlled with a swipe gesture on the headband or via the smartphone buttons.
  • The integrated battery offers enough reserves for all-day use and is sufficient for 4 hours of telephony, music or 2 hours of navigation, for example. On days of intensive use, the glasses can be recharged to 80% in 30 minutes using the USB cable supplied.
  • The built-in AI assistant “Aicy” can be activated quickly and easily with a long press on the right temple or by voice command for an immediate overview of everyday life and offers immediate access to the many everyday helpers of the smart glasses, which are equipped with over 200 patents.
  • Thanks to the Large Language Model (LLM), Aicy understands virtually every query and knows the right answer to everything. The smart glasses turn their wearers into experts in every situation by displaying text or, if desired, in audio form.

Applications

Real-time translation; MYVU/Imiki AR Glasses make the dream of understanding people in foreign languages a reality. Using the microphones built into the glasses, conversations or TV broadcasts can be recorded and translated in real time and displayed in the field of vision – ideal when traveling or learning new languages.

Accessibility for the hearing impaired: Text-to-speech: MYVU/Imiki AR Glasses read the desire for accessible conversations from the lips of people with impaired or no hearing. Thanks to the built-in text-to-speech function, conversation content appears as text directly in front of the wearer’s eyes in real time, enabling eye contact and natural interaction during a conversation. With a range of up to five meters, the highly sensitive microphones can also pick up sounds and display them as text, ensuring a better understanding of everyday life and greater social participation.

Navigation: The MYVU/Imiki AR Glasses are the reliable navigator for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. Thanks to the head-up display, users always have the next turn, arrival time or remaining route in front of them without losing sight of the traffic. At the same time, calls or messages can be answered by voice input at the touch of a finger. Even when listening to music or making phone calls on the move, the ambient noise is always present so that users always arrive at their destination safely and relaxed.

Teleprompter: With the teleprompter function of the MYVU/Imiki AR Glasses, users can maintain eye contact with their audience without forgetting a syllable of their speech. The scroll speed of the text stored in the app can be adjusted unobtrusively via the touch-sensitive surface in the temple if required.

Price and availability: The MYVU/Imiki AR Glasses will be available from October 2024 in the colors “Space Black”, “Sky Blue” and “Sand Gold” at an RRP of €599.99 each incl. VAT, will be available in stores. The app required to use the functions described is GDPR-compliant and available for Apple and Android smartphones in the respective app stores. In addition to the glasses, the scope of delivery includes a case, a USB-C cable and a user manual.

According to the manufacturer, prescription lenses will be available in future from certified partners for an additional charge.

The MYVU/Imiki AR Glasses will celebrate their premiere at IFA 2024 in hall 22 at Axdia’s stand 310.
