According to a “Tom’s Hardware” report, traces in a preview of Windows 11 indicate a new AI functionality in relation to browsing audio and video content.
The “Windows 11 Insider Canary Channel Build 27695” provides concrete indications. However, Microsoft itself has not yet confirmed the new intelligent media search function.
Meeting files and audio books
According to the report, the AI algorithm should be able to transcribe all audio and video files on a Windows computer and also make spoken content searchable for the user in this way – such as meeting recordings or audio books.
However, apart from references, the new tool is not yet included in an insider preview, it is said. A similar development called “Recall” was once intended to log the content of a screen. This should make everything that is displayed searchable.
