The scope of site management is agreed individually via SLAs, depends on the customer’s wishes and budget and is based on the customer’s requirements and infrastructural processes. In addition to operations management, which includes maintaining the defined operating services and qualities of the supply technology for the data center, incident management, energy management and inventory and configuration management can also be integrated into the overall package. Security and requirements analyses, redundancy concepts and energy optimization are also included in the implementation of a future-proof data centre strategy. DeRZ’s external site managers are therefore responsible for the physical data center infrastructure, including access management and monitoring of the technical building services components. In addition, they initiate processes to maintain operation and improve the performance and functionality of the systems and facilities and act as a link between manufacturers, service providers and the customer’s IT department.
