PayPal is currently experiencing a widespread technical outage preventing users worldwide from accessing their accounts. According to the outage tracking platform Downdetector, issue reports began surging around 1 PM CET.
The issue affects both personal and business accounts, with users receiving an error message stating “Some of your information isn’t correct. Please try again” when attempting to log in. Over 9000 users have already reported problems on Downdetector, with the issue primarily centered on authentication.
The timing is particularly problematic for merchants and customers, as PayPal is a crucial payment processor for e-commerce. Social media is flooded with complaints from users unable to complete important transactions. The company has not yet issued an official statement regarding the outage.
